When we started 'Derrick Danzel Days II Corporation. It was intended to impact lives "in loving memory" of our son. We really didn't think about the concept of receiving money. Just wanted something named after him, so that his death wouldn't be in vain.

We wanted to stand out. Be different from other nonprofits. Because everyone wants to do the samething. We have enough people feeding the homeless. But, what can we do to truly help individuals get back on their feet. Get people functioning financially. Instead of offering a one-time solution. We wanted to be unique from other organizations. Keep complete control of our organization.
